Is Kiroku really free? add
Yes. Kiroku is completely free to download and use. All core features — recording, transcription, proofreading, and on-device AI analysis — work without any payment or subscription.
Does it work without internet? add
Yes. Speech recognition and AI run on your device. Cloud-based models are available for phones without a TPU or on-device AI support, but are never required if your device handles it locally.
Does it work on older phones? add
Kiroku works best on newer smartphones with a TPU or edge AI chip, which handle on-device transcription and analysis natively. Older phones without these capabilities can still use Kiroku — those users can select a remote AI provider (like OpenAI) for proofreading and analysis features.
What languages are supported? add
Kiroku currently supports English, Polish, and German for both the interface and speech recognition. More languages are on the way.
Where is my data stored? add
Everything stays on your phone in a local database. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, and no third-party access to your notes.
